Equal Youth Empowerment Network Uganda (EYENU) is a dedicated organization comprising volunteers committed to empowering marginalized and isolated youth in Uganda. We recognize the challenges faced by youth due to circumstances such as poverty, unemployment, HIV/AIDS, and familial complexities. EYENU is driven by the belief that every young
person deserves an opportunity to thrive, regardless of their background or challenges.

Activities

Youth Empowerment Workshops:

Throughout the start of 2024, EYENU organized a series of youth empowerment workshops aimed at equipping young people with essential life skills, vocational training, and entrepreneurship opportunities. These workshops covered topics such as financial literacy, business development, leadership, and personal development. By providing practical knowledge and support, we empowered youth to pursue their goals and become self-reliant contributors to their communities.

Health Awareness Campaigns

EYENU launched comprehensive health awareness campaigns targeting marginalized youth, with a particular focus on HIV/AIDS education and prevention. These campaigns included community outreach programs, peer education initiatives, and distribution of informational materials. By raising awareness about HIV/AIDS transmission, prevention, and treatment, we aimed to reduce stigma, increase access to healthcare services, and improve the overall well-being of affected youth.

Donation to Village Youth

EYENUalso facilitated a donation program aimed at supporting the needs of village youth in marginalized communities. This initiative involved collecting donations from individuals, organizations, and sponsors to provide essential resources such as educational materials, clothing, hygiene products, and food supplies to disadvantaged youth in rural areas. By addressing immediate needs and offering support, we aimed to alleviate hardship and promote a sense of dignity and belonging among village youth, empowering them to pursue their aspirations with renewed confidence and hope.
